From developing sensor circuits to helping draft national standards, GIBO has steadily built up product expertise, engineering validation and large-scale manufacturing capability.
Founder Zheng Shaobo entered the smart sensor sanitary ware field and developed China’s first MCU (microcontroller)-based sensor sanitary ware control circuit, breaking through early technical barriers in the industry.
Set up a dedicated R&D studio in Shanghai focused on core circuits for smart sensor sanitary ware, building technical reserves for ODM services, while continuously refining sensing algorithms and control programs to stay ahead of the industry.
The company was officially founded in Fuzhou, the birthplace of China’s sensor sanitary ware industry, specializing in sensor faucets and sensor sanitary ware — completing the shift from technology R&D to branded, large-scale development and opening a new market-driven chapter.
Became a group member of the Fujian Quality Association and was first to launch smart sensor modules with remote control, enhancing the smart experience of sensor faucets and other products.
Achieved ISO9001 international quality management system certification and formed in-depth strategic partnerships with renowned international bathroom brands, formally entering the mid-to-high-end sensor sanitary ware ODM supply chain.
Fully deployed ERP and CRM platforms for digital control of sensor sanitary ware production; introduced high-temperature dynamic aging test machines, developed in-house life-test machines and successfully iterated a miniaturized control board.
On the strength of its sensor faucets and sensor sanitary ware, GIBO was named one of China’s Top 10 Sensor Sanitary Ware Brands and became a designated supplier for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, showcasing its products at a national-level event.
Products achieved EU CE and RoHS certification, opening up overseas ODM markets; GIBO developed the industry’s first automatic constant-pressure water test system, granted a national invention patent, raising the bar for quality control.
Acquired Fuzhou Nanshuo Electronics Co., Ltd., strengthening core electronics R&D for sensor sanitary ware and ODM delivery capability; built and opened China’s first dedicated sensor sanitary ware laboratory, and developed a control circuit with power-failure protection.
Obtained CQC water-saving certification, CCC compulsory certification, and North American cUPC and NSF certifications; recognized as a Fuzhou Well-known Trademark and joined the Sanitary Ware Branch of the China Building Ceramics & Sanitaryware Association.
Recognized as a Fujian Famous Trademark, and GIBO sensor faucets were included in the national Government Procurement List of Energy-Saving Products; launched the industry-first 2-in-1 soap dispenser sensor faucet, granted a national invention patent.
Recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise; co-developed an integrated sensor flush spreader for ceramic urinals, showcased at Kitchen & Bath China (KBC) in Shanghai; launched China’s first dual-mode kitchen sensor faucet, granted a national invention patent, creating a new ODM category.
Recognized as a Fuzhou Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise and a Quality & Integrity Enterprise; launched the industry-first dual-sensor quick-install spout, creating the sensor spout sub-category and earning a national invention patent and a PCT international patent.
Officially renamed “Fujian GIBO Kitchen & Bath Tech Co., Ltd.” and upgraded its sensor faucet and bathroom product lines; became a founding member of the Sanitary Ware Branch of the China Building Materials Market Association and won the Fuzhou Science & Technology Progress Award.
GIBO’s full range of commercial sensor sanitary ware was included in the National Campus Procurement List of Energy-Saving Products and is widely used in schools and universities across China.
Achieved Integration of Informatization and Industrialization (III) management system certification and SGS quality factory certification, raising ODM capacity and standardization; the GIBO brand entered the South Korean market, beginning its international expansion.
Acquired a controlling stake in Fuzhou Youpeng Electronics Co., Ltd. to strengthen core electronics R&D; MCU single-wire communication technology went into application, and GIBO’s total granted patents, including invention patents, surpassed 200.
GIBO’s in-house single-window dual-sensor technology was granted a national invention patent, and the company launched the industry-first cable-operated sensor assembly for toilet fittings; the Aishang Series GBL-6170D basin sensor faucet won the Boiling Quality Gold Award; obtained FCC and BSCI international certifications.
A new production base in Fuzhou High-Tech Zone went into operation, greatly increasing sensor faucet capacity; achieved ISO14001, ISO45001 and BSCI social compliance certifications; the MINI sensor spout G61901 won the Energy-Saving Sensor Faucet Benchmark Award.
As a core drafting unit, took part in formulating the national standard Non-contact Water Supply Appliances — General Technical Specification for Water-saving Performance (GB/T 41863-2022); recognized as an above-designated-size industrial enterprise and a Fuzhou Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise.
Recognized as a National SRDI SME, National Technology-based SME and Fujian Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise; the laser TOF sensor pull-out kitchen faucet GBL-9165D won another Boiling Quality Gold Award.
Took part in drafting the association standard Sensor Faucets (T/XMBK 002—2024), helping standardize the sensor faucet industry; the TOF dual-sensor digital display laser faucet won the Energy-Saving Sensor Faucet Benchmark Award, and multiple products were added to the national water efficiency filing list and obtained water-saving certification.
Granted another national invention patent for “a sensor faucet water outlet device”; recognized as a National Innovative SME and a Grade-A Tax Credit Taxpayer. Annual output of smart bathroom products exceeds 1 million units, cumulative production and sales surpass 5 million units, and ODM and own-brand products are exported to 40+ countries and regions worldwide.
